Why choose Menthol Crossing?

Because it is more than just “fresh.” The Gunpowder retains a real presence in the cup: vegetal, slightly full-bodied and structured enough not to disappear behind the mint.

The peppermint then provides a straighter, more intense sensation than a simple aromatic note. The result is a lively, clean and refreshing cup, with a clear balance between the tea and the menthol freshness.

Aromatic profile

  • Bold vegetal opening
  • Intense peppermint
  • Clean freshness on the palate
  • Lingering menthol finish

How to prepare Menthol Crossing?

Recommended dosage: approximately 12 to 15 g/L
Temperature: 70 to 80 °C
Steeping time: 2 to 3 minutes

Gunpowder can become more bitter if the water is too hot or the steeping time too long. If you prefer a more intense cup, slightly increase the amount of tea rather than extending the steeping time.

Tip: taste after 2 minutes. This will help you find the point where the freshness of the mint remains lively without the vegetal base becoming too dominant.

Hot or iced?

Menthol Crossing works very well both ways.

Hot, it offers a lively and clean cup, particularly pleasant after a meal or in the afternoon.

Iced, its freshness becomes even more pronounced. Prepare a slightly more concentrated infusion, strain it, let it cool, then serve it well chilled.

What to pair it with?

Its freshness pairs particularly well with Middle Eastern pastries, fruit desserts, dried fruit or a few squares of dark chocolate.

It is also very enjoyable on its own when you want a clean and refreshing cup.

Fancy a real mint tea?

Menthol Crossing can also serve as a base for a more generous homemade preparation: add a few large sprigs of fresh mint to the teapot to enhance the vegetal dimension and create your own version of mint tea.
